The Land of Ancient Cobblestones and Green Hills

What do you do when you have five days at a Tuscan villa?

In the morning you sip espresso and tea at the pool; in the afternoon you explore the countryside, nearby hill towns and wineries; and in the evenings you laugh with friends and enjoy four-course dinners prepared in the kitchen by a professional chef.

The following photos give a sense of how we spent our time here.

This is our villa, in between Citerna and Monterchi.

This is our view.

This is Citerna from our yard.

 This is Citerna zoomed in.

This is how we breakfast.

This is how we dinner.

Perugia.

This is the the main square of Perugia.

Karen and Hilde strolling through Perugia.

Some of the thickest (but not "the" thickest) hot chocolate we've ever had. (The record goes to Spain.)

This is Anghiari.

This is either Anghiari, Perugia or Montalcino. We really can't remember. We did a lot of cathedrals.

In the running for our holiday card photo.

Still in Anghiari.

More Anghiari.

This is Ricardo, our chef, and Monica, our maitre d'.
